How Digital Citizenship & Internet Maturity education is critical for a person to develop good netiquette?

To follow good etiquette at any place, organization or situation, the person must understand why other people visit that place, or what they do in that organization, or what is the mood & emotion of that situation. If that understanding is clear then it is plain common sense to understand what actions & words would be appropriate to use and which ones to avoid.

Digital citizenship and Internet Maturity education trains a learner to understand the purposes social networks, professional networks, forums, blogs, content sharing platforms, online collaboration tools. It also trains them to understand the differences among those. For example an Internet mature student would be aware that communication with a person on Facebook is a different place & situation from communication with the same person on Linkedin. Or, sending an email to someone and sending a Whatsapp message. On the foundation of this awareness and understanding, a student can easily learn (or even invent) the netiquette of that online platform.
